St. Louis team to compete on TLC’s “Next Great Baker”

(KTVI)- The fourth season of TLC’s “Next Great Baker” premieres on Tuesday, June 24. One of the competing teams is from St. Louis! Al Watson, 31, and Lia Weber, 24, became fast friends when they started working together in a wedding cake shop in St. Louis. They are proud of their signature baking style, making the best butter cream cakes without using fondant.

The Cake Boss, Buddy Valastro, judged the competition and is joined by famed chocolatier Jacques Torres and Magnolia Bakery’s Chief Baking Officer Bobbie Lloyd during this season’s competition. The team’s will compete in hopes of winning the ultimate prize, a chance to work for Buddy at the new Carlo’s Bakery at The Venetian in Las Vegas, as well as the grand prize of $100,000.
